I think examples like "cry or better yet beg" are clearly dark romance that don't hide from it since chapter 1, while true beauty goes through as a regular manhwa that ends up being extremely damaging And just overall bad... 😭 So it's much easier to avoid the first one, while true beauty gets people by surprise lmao

Weird to see Cry or Better Yet Beg on so many lists, it advertises itself as a dark and messed up romance out the gate so it's not like a surprise? Doesn't have to be folks' things but the way people talk about it make it seem like it keeps it a secret and jumpscares you when it really doesn't... Actual ones I wouldn't recommend: \- Remarried Empress - it's just not well written. Pacing is horrible, characters are extremely flat and/or contradictory.
