r/mangarecommendations · Manga recs with found family group

No school setting, but tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE is peak found family. To the point Fay and Kurogane canonly get called mom and dad ✨️

How about some CLAMP? not the main characters, but Sakura's brother Touya is canonly dating his best friend Yukito, and Syaoran (Sakura's love interest) at first has a crush on Yukito. Sakura's best friend Tomoyo has feelings for Sakura too. So that's quite the number of queer characters in the main cast, and since it's a show originally meant for little girls you won't get anything explicit ;) still CLAMP, but he might be a bit young for the second half of the manga (it gets a bit bloody), there's tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE, with Kurogane and Fay pretty much being implicitly canon too

r/Seinen · Manga with Vinland Saga vibe

This is quite a hard question. Wolfsmund. Historie. Kingdom is great, but I feel the vibe is completely different. Vagabond, I'm surprised no one seems to have mentioned it. Blade of the immortal, though less similar. Kurogane no bara, from the same author of Wolfsmund, is ongoing.
