Totally agree. Imo the problem is that the comedy tag is thrown around too loosely in general. Considering how deeply rooted comedy is in Japanese culture, most manga will have some sort of comedic elements. My hero academia is always a good start for younger people wanting to get into manga/anime. I started with naruto and one piece and i would still recommend both of them even though they are quite long. Spy family is also a really good shout as its just a light hearted comedy with nothing to worry about. I quite enjoy sakamoto days as well which is a good blend of comedy and some action.
