r/shoujo · Retro Shoujo Recs with "City" Feel (Anime preferably)Since you like Kodocha how about Hana Yori Dango? It's a '97 anime and one of my favorites. It's set a in a city. There's also Kare Kano another of my favorites. Card Captor Sakura and of course Sailor Moon has a lot of cityscape settings.
r/shoujo · Can someone recomend me shoujo anime for young kids? (Non magical girl ones pls)Like Hamtaro or Doraemon, Hello Kitty or something? Shoujo is pretty specifically the teen demographic. Non-magical girl request is interesting as I would consider Cardcaptor Sakura sort of the perfect bridge from younger kid stuff to something with a bit more story as it’s very cute and set in a “ideal world” with no villains.
r/shoujo · Im new to shoujo manga what should I readThe easiest for Shounen fans is Attack on Titan: No Regrets. Yes, this OVA spin off is a Shoujo - May I Ask For One Final Thing - Gokusen - Hakuoki - Sukeban Deka - Sailor Moon - Cardcaptor Sakura - Children of the Whales - Agents of the Four Seasons - Raven of the Inner Palace These are all dubbed. They have action. Some are even funny. Gokusen in particular is highly recommended if you like Spy x Family since both combine action and comedy.
r/manga · Looking for manga suitable for a 12 year old girlCard Captor Sakura and Sailor Moon manga!!! Don’t knock them because they’re oldies, they’re classic
r/shoujo · Please give me Unrequited Love shoujo anime recs from FL pov!Cardcaptor Sakura... there's a primary love interest that at the very end ends up with the female protagonist. As the audience, we know that from fairly early on. But for 80-90% of the series, Sakura has a deep crush on someone else, and it is unrequited, and the rejection is handled in a super kind and caring way too.
