r/shoujo · My problem is with shoujo romance and searching for recommendations.

Both the titles you tried are from the exact same magazine called “Dessert”, so chances are you just don’t like that magazine’s style. Try these romance-genre Shojo manga or Shojo manga with romance sub-plots: Re-living my life with a boyfriend who doesn’t remember Kids on the slope Lord Hades’ Ruthless Marriage Colette decides to die Fatale game (GL) Run away with me girl (GL) The margrave’s daughter and the enemy prince

r/shoujo · any recs for heartwarming, soul soothing, romance with emotional depth + folktale / fantasy elements?

Colette decides to die The story is about Colette, the only apothecary in her village, which causes her to be constantly overworked. One day, out of desperation, she jumps into a well and ends up in the underworld, where Hades resides. Hades is sick and overworked too, so Colette helps. And their story together begins. While I haven't really read the manga's you mentioned, (other than Yona) I think this would be something you would enjoy.
