Favorites: \- Battle Angel Alita \- Berserk \- Dr. Slump \- Lone Wolf and Cub \- Nausicaa \- Phoenix \- Vagabond I haven't read a ton the past six months, but a few that I remember were the classic shojo They Were Eleven and Tezuka's Angel's Oka. I read most of 20th Century Boys earlier this year but haven't finished it. Hoshin Engi - Classic 90s shonen. One of the better pre-One Piece shonen from the 90s. Dr. Slump - Another classic shonen, from the creator of Dragonball. Dr. Slump was his first big hit and was what made him famous in the first place. The humor is kinda childish but if you are okay with that then it's hilarious. Toriyama was a master of gag manga, and his art even back then was incredible. The way he draws machines in particular is almost second to none among his contemporaries. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - Another classic. Part 1 is probably the weakest one, but it's still a fun read. Real

Staying with classics, I'd begin with Dr. Slump & Arale, and Dash Kappei. Small cast of characters, crazy antics and no great story to speak of. Maybe Pollon, too, but it has a lot of characters in addition to the core ones.
