Big Three refers to the 3 mangas who were exceptionally popular during the 2000 as that is around the time where the three of them, one piece, Naruto and bleach were released. There is no connection of importance or quality with the title big Three. While Dragon Ball is amazing it can not be considered as the big Three as it is too old to stand next to the other three, instead dragon ball stand on its own in its time. It's usually Dragon Ball inspired the Big Three and the Big Three inspired the next gen shounen.
