I Hear the Sunspot

r/mangarecommendations · Manga where sign language is actively used? Besides "A sign of affection"

I know four BLs with deaf protags (and I love them all ♡) so if you're down for BL: **Bokura ni wa Bokura no Kotoba ga Aru** - it has BL tag but i think it's a slow burn cuz no romance yet in parts I've seen, love that this has actual pages dedicated to explaining stuff about the disability) **I Hear the Sunspot** - first vol's pretty basic but it gets more in depth so it's the next one with the most info about deafness and the community. I dont think you'll learn many signs here though >!the deaf ML was never properly taught iirc so that was a point of difference from other deaf characters

r/shoujo · I need recs! Smth that would cure depression or smth!

Kimi ni Todoke, The Summer of You/Us, I Hear the Sunspot, and Cat + Gamer

Have you read Cherry Magic! My Summer of You and Hidamari ga Kikoeru are also good BL.
