Youre most probably referring to josei manhwas, but lots of mangas have “realistic” proportions..kimi wa petto, takahashi from the bike shop, kuragehime etc. That said just a side note i know that a lot of people shit on na haesoo from tears on a withered flower’s body proportions but she has my exact body type so whenever people say shes unrealistic im like :/

Because.....it is a mockery? Reading the comments about the comedy in the show being centered around making sound effects when she walks and such? Let's take Princess Jellyfish for instance! While she isn't the MC, Chieko is a plus sized girl. She's animated really well and there's no sound effects for when she walks or how she eats. She's represented really well and even at angles is she represented very well. She's treated like a person and doesn't have the typical fat person comedy gags. ^^^She also has a very good personality, albeit everyone in that anime is presented as socially awkwar

It doesn’t surprise me the Crunchyroll ratings were low. Honestly based on crunchyroll I thought Princess jellyfish would be awful because of crunchyroll ratings but I ended up loving it. Based on that I wouldn’t put too much thought into Crunchyroll ratings I’m glad you fount this series enjoyable I will definitely add it to my watchlist 😁
